When painting your bedroom, make sure you buy enough paint to do the job! Consider how many coats you will need. A dark color may need several coats. IF you are trying to paint a light color over a dark, you may need to use some primer and also a couple of coats. 1 gallon of paint can do about 400 square feet so keep this in mind. To measure your room, go around the edge of all the walls with a measuring tape and record the total width. Measure the height from floor to ceiling and multiply by total width to get the square footage. Measure all the doors and window opening and subtract this from the total square footage (or not, it?s always a good idea to have a little extra paint then not enough!).

Don?t forget to protect your wood moldings with painters tape, remove all the covers from the electrical outlets and plugs and cover the floor and furniture with drop cloths!

Pantanjali, an Indian philosopher, wrote what is thought of as the “bible of yoga” approximately two thousand five hundred years ago. While certain aspects of yoga were being done well before Pantanjali, his writing “encouraged” the practice of yoga and it began widespread practice throughout India.

Written in Sanskrit it contained the eight sutras that are the basic principles of Yoga practice. Physical activity focuses on the body, meditation on the mind and emotions. Yoga combines the practices to give you an overall sense of physical and mental health. Let’s look at the sutras and learn a little about each one.

- Breathe. Believe it or not, the vast majority of human beings breaths wrong, either because of environment, or upbringing, or physical fitness, etc. We are not a race of ?smart? breathers. We do it because we have to, rarely if ever actually paying attention to the process of breathing. It?s as though we?re satisfied with autopilot on this one. Sit up straight and take some lovely deep cleansing breaths. Don?t hyperventilate, but fill your lungs?when you think you?ve filled them, inhale a bit more. Now slowly let the air out. 2. Flowers, notices and memorials

In many communities it is traditional that friends and family pay their respects by sending flowers or making a donation to charity. Your local funeral director can organise flowers for you. They can also collect, record and distribute donations to charity on your behalf.

The obituary notice in a local, national or other publication announces the death and funeral details and can also become a tribute to the person who has died, by perhaps containing a verse. Some people like to place acknowledgement notices in the newspaper after the funeral, thanking people who have supported them. Some people also like to compile a book of compliments, reflections and memories about the person who has died, written by family and friends attending the service or afterwards.

You don’t have to decide whether to put a memorial on the grave or on the site of the burial of ashes until after the funeral.

MPs will vote on a ban on tail docking, which is only carried out by vets, at the Report Stage of the Animal Welfare Bill on 8th March.

Focus on being kind and courteous to that person. If you make them feel good by accepting their compliment with genuine appreciation, they’ll remember that and speak up the next time they have something positive to share with you.

Consequently, if you belittle their words by arguing, minimizing or looking as if they’ve just insulted you, they’ll remember that as well.

5. Try it from the other side. Another way to get better at accepting compliments is to GIVE more compliments. Notice how other people receive them. This can improve your relationships greatly, because now you’ll be focused more on the other person. As you’re looking for positive things to compliment them on, you’ll also be keeping your thoughts more positive overall, and you’ll have less time for worrying and negative thinking.
